Ragnhild Schreiner, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and affiliate of Norwegian Fiscal Studies (NFS), together with Ole-Andreas Elvik Næss, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Bergen and affiliate of NFS, have been appointed as members of the Government's newly established Tax Commission. The Commission will provide recommendations on possible reforms to Norway's tax system.

Norwegian Fiscal Studies (NFS) recently hosted a stakeholder user meeting with the Norwegian Tax Administration (Skatteetaten) and the Ministry of Finance (Finansdepartementet). At this breakfast meeting, five NFS affiliates presented ongoing research and received comments and feedback from key policy users.

Each year, the Department of Economics arranges a workshop for PhD students and their supervisors, where candidates in the 3rd semester of the program will present their own work.
