Student life
The Department of Economics offers a student life that provides a stimulating environment with academic activities and social events. The student council plays a central role and organises various events that strengthen both academic and social connections among the students.
The Student Council
The Student Council is the Economics students' representatives and work continuously at improving the study programmes, and to improve the everyday life of the Economics students.
Newspaper Round
A regular feature of student life in the Department of Economics is the newspaper round organised by the Student Council. Here, students receive an overview of the most important issues from the week's newspapers, presented by internal or external professionals.
"There is a lot of valuable curriculum material in reading newspapers."
– Emeritus Professor of Economics Kalle Moene
