Academic interests

Martin Moland’s academic interests include public opinion in the EU countries, the effects of media use on political behavior and what shapes people's perceptions of political journalism. His postdoctoral project investigates how journalistic styles impact views of the credibility of political news. He is also involved in a range of projects studying contestation of European integration, both in Norway and the European Union member states.

Background

Moland has an PhD in political science from the University of Oslo (2023), and MA in Political Science from the same school (2018) and Bachelor’s degree in European studies from the same university. In his PhD thesis he investigated how EU citizens think about reform of the European Union.
