The Social Psychology Research Group at the University of Oslo consists of several labs and groups:
- the Leknes Affective Brain Lab, led by Siri Leknes, using cognitive, social and affective neuroscience methods to probe the hedonic brain, affective experiences, and their social modulation;
- the BabyLab, studying how babies and young children understand the world, led by Lotte Thomsen,
- Kama Muta Lab, studying social emotions, led by Thomas Schubert and Beate Seibt,
- Rolf Reber's research group, studying social cognition and experiences such as cognitive fluency.
- In addition, Beate Seibt is leading the Solidarity Hub group, which conducts intervention projects targeting psychological reactions to war and trauma
We collaborate in innovative research projects and teach in BA, MA, Professional course, and PhD training. We also participate in the European MA program Global-MINDS and develop for the new Global University Academy.
The group does currently not run a joint colloquium or PhD course.
