Academic interests

My research interests cover the structure and organization of government and executive politics in an internationally comparative perspective. My research focuses on the following key themes: the determinants and effects of career patterns of senior government officials, bureaucratic autonomy and political control of agencies, and the role of institutional interests in explaining reforms and policy outcomes. For more information on my publications, please consult my Google Scholar profile.
