About SURVEY

Lots of researchers at UiO use survey experiments in their research. The purpose of the SURVEY network is to facilitate better use of survey experiments. This will be achieved by working through three main tracks:

  1. Developing functionality in Nettskjema to handle experiment types such as split ballot, multi-factorial, and conjoint experiments.
  2. Simplifying access to respondent data. Conducting survey experiments requires access to respondents. SURVEY will work to facilitate agreements and licenses and make them known throughout the organization.
  3. Creating arenas to share expertise on issues related to survey experiments. Courses will be developed in collaboration with the University Library on issues ranging from technical solutions and open research to privacy and research ethics.

Organization

The network is led and coordinated by the Department of Political Science. In addition, the network consists of nodes in academic environments at, among others, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Educational Sciences, as well as the University Library and the IT department.

If you wish to become part of the network, you can contact the administrative contact point.

Funding

The network receives funding from IT support for research at UiO in the period 2023 to 2026.
