Academic staff at the University of Oslo (UiO) can apply for funding to cover the costs of survey research in the Norwegian Citizen Panel, Panel of Elected Representatives, and the Panel of Public Administrators.

These panels are part of the national research infrastructure KODEM and are coordinated by DIGSSCORE at the University of Bergen. KODEM enables the collection of high-quality data among citizens, elected politicians, and employees in central government administration. All panels are organized according to a time-sharing model, where respondents answer a questionnaire that includes questions from multiple research groups. Typical background variables such as age, gender, education, and place of residence are available to all users of the panels. Data collection is conducted several times a year.

KODEM calls for pre-projects for questions to one or more panels. The pre-project call is open to researchers and research groups led from universities, research institutes, or colleges in Norway. SURVEY funds a portion of the data collection for UiO applicants who are awarded pre-project funding for questions in KODEM. Support for data collection from SURVEY requires employment at UiO in at least a 50% position.

We encourage interested parties to apply and contact DIGSSCORE directly for information on planned rounds and future application deadlines.

Researchers with questions about the call are asked to contact Christian Lehne at the Department of Political Science.
