The CFP dataset seeks to ascertain whether, when, and how the far right engages in contentious politics. The unit of analysis are protest events promoted by far-right political actors.
Data collection is ongoing and the first version of the dataset is expected to be completed in 2023.
About the dataset
The CFP dataset is based on the standard coding procedures of Protest Event Analysis (PEA), and aims to provide a comparative overview of when, how and why far right actors in Europe mobilize. Data collection is funded by the Center for Research on Extremism, University of Oslo and the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po.
