Norwegian Europe Minister Vidar Helgesen will speak to the students at Blindern under The ARENA Lecture 2014.
The lecture is open for everyone interested in the EU and Norway's relations with the EU.
Helgesen is Minister at the Office of the Prime Minister and responsible for EEA and EU Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was Norway's first Europe Minister when appointed in 2013.
Welcome by Rector Ole Petter Ottersen.

The ARENA Lecture is a long-standing tradition at the University of Oslo. In this lecture series ARENA invites politicians and other influential persons to hold an open lecture on a topic that is both of academic and public interest.

About
Vidar Helgesen is Minister at the Office of the Prime Minister and responsible for EEA and EU Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .
Helgesen was state secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the second Bondevik Government. He has previously been secretary-general of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) in Stockholm and special adviser at the International Red Cross in Geneva.
