Oil and gas is intimately tied to financial practices, both through the large-scale investments required to explore for and extract it, but also through the channeling of revenue into financial markets - clearly illustrated by Norway's "oil fund".
On the day before Norway celebrates its constitution, we discuss how Norway might be constituted by a particular mix of oil and finance - and how financial practices such as divestment can also be used to steer the world away from oil and gas, under the notion of "climate risk".
Please note the new location: Sophus Bugges hus, Seminar room 1.
