On 20-21 September, school classes and families were invited to the Oslo Science Expo to explore stands, engage with researchers and participate in the many activities, experiments and shows organized by various institutes and research groups.

Silje Morsman from TIK participated in organizing a stand about cod and its immune system together with the COMPARE team and UiO:Life Science. Visitors were invited to look at cod cells through microscopes, participate in a cod quiz and, to much fascination, hear the sound of cod. The stand was co-organised with UiO:Life Science, who showcased a model of the new life science building to be completed in 2024 as well as a Virtual Reality (VR) tour.

The Oslo Science Expo (Forskningstorget) is organized every year at the university square in the city center of Oslo as part of the National Science Week in Norway (Forskningsdagene).
