Lara holds a B.A. in Culture and Communication from the University of Oslo and a M.A. in Social Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin. Title of thesis: Spirits, saints and psychiatrists. Trajectories of mental health, illness and healing in a Philippine municipality (2019).
She has previously worked within science communication and event management.
