Election of representatives to the Department Board

The term of office for the Department Board is four years for representatives for the permanent academic staff and for the technical administrative staff. The term of office for temporary academic staff and student representatives is one year. 

Election of Department Head and Deputy Head

The election of the Department head and Deputy Head is conducted as a single election, unless the department board determines that the Deputy Head is to be appointed by the Department Head. 

If a majority of the Department Board wishes, the Department Head can be appointed in accordance with further specified rules adopted by the university board.
