Drug Policy Reform
The focus of this research group will be on the use of psychoactive substances and on the major policy changes in this area, with a likely “decriminalization” of drug use.
We will study the political process, and the interplay between political actors and expertise.
We will investigate the development of street-level control and prevention versus groups at risk by the police and outreach services, by means of ethnographic methods.
We will also utilize a variety of quantitative data sources to examine how socialization to drug use and processes of marginalization possibly may change in wake of the reform.
