Bakgrunn

Fra 1995 har Arnlaug Leira vært professor i sosiologi ved Universitetet i Oslo, Institutt for sosiologi og samfunnsgeografi. Hun var tidligere forskningsleder/seniorforsker ved Institutt for samfunnsforskning, Oslo, og har vært gjesteforsker ved universiteter i Europa og USA, og har forelest ved en rekke universiteter i Europa, USA og Australia. Hennes publikasjoner omfatter bl.a familieendring og velferdspolitiske reformer i Skandinavia; kjønn, omsorg og sosiale rettigheter; fattigdom og sosialpolitikk (se CV for utvalgte publikasjoner).
