The 2026 Aubert Lecturer is distinguished sociologist Loïc Wacquant. Known for his extensive interdisciplinary work on urban marginality, ethnoracial domination as well as the making of the penal state, Wacquant has redefined understandings of prison systems, urban societies, inequality and ethnicity.
In a world characterised by acceleration, alienation, and democratic crisis, sociologist Hartmut Rosa explores what is needed to create a society defined by resonance.
