An exhibition entitled 'Hytta - four walls round a dream' opened at the Norwegian museum of cultural history on 4th April 2019, running through to late autumn 2019.
Matkin researchers published a richly illustrated book in March 2019, launching to coincide with the opening of the project exhibition at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Folkmuseet).
The project pages in Norwegian contain more information about project news, including reviews and media contributions.
Royal surroundings and beautiful nature inspire Marianne and Simone while working on the hytte book.
Photographer Haakon Hariss accompanies Matkin researchers on field trips and interviews. His photography helps tell hytte-owners’ stories.
Who will inherit the hytte? What values are linked to the hytte? We discussed key questions on hytter and value at the Oslo Research Fair in September.
It is rewarding to visit ‘hytte-people’ together.
Over two cold and crisp days in early December, the MATKIN advisory board assembled to help us kick-off the Project.
