About the project

Our aim is to investigate how the human brain responds to and makes decisions about perceived social qualities of emotional vocalizations as well as the factors influencing these processes. The brain implicitly interprets and forms judgments about the social signals carried by the voice, but the neural basis underlying these decision-making processes is not fully understood. We use fMRI to measure brain activity and questionnaires to measure individual factors.
