Academic interests
- Psychosocial and structural brain development in adolescence
- Mental health and well-being in adolescence
- Women’s mental and reproductive health
My research examines how developmental processes shape mental health trajectories, with a particular focus on the interplay between psychosocial and biological mechanisms.
Within this broader interest, my PhD project focuses on how hormonal contraceptive use and menstrual cycle-related factors influence well-being across adolescence and early adulthood. To address these questions, I use large longitudinal cohort data and causal modelling, together with participatory research approaches.
