I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Clinical Psychology and part of the research project NORTRAS.

My project is about clinical supervision and therapist development. I want to investigate the processes that make therapists develop - both personally and professionally - in ways that make them better therapists.

I will explore these topics through an investigation of the supervision method Deliberate Practice. Deliberate Practice emphasizes repeated, goal oriented practicing of therapist skills and tailored feedback from supervisors. The goal of the project is to understand how Deliberate Practice supervision can facilitate and hinder therapist development, and whether repeated practicing can help self-reflection and growth in therapists in ways that help them with their clients.
