Tanja Winther, is a professor at SUM, Centre for Development and the Environment, UiO, and has trained as a power engineer and social anthropologist. Her own research addresses the social implications of energy transitions, and she has done fieldwork in Zanzibar (Tanzania), Kenya, Malawi, West Bengal (India) and Norway.
