Faglige interesser

Morten Egebergs faglige interesseområde er forholdet mellom organisasjons-/institusjonsformer og beslutningsprosesser, samt hvordan organisasjons-/institusjonsformer selv endres. Det empiriske fokus er på nasjonale sentralforvaltninger, samt EU-kommisjonen og EU-byråer og deres samhandling med nasjonal administrasjoner.

Undervisning

Offentlig administrasjon og offentlig politikk, nasjonalt og på EU-nivå. Organisasjonsteori.

Bakgrunn

Morten Egeberg var leder for ARENA - Senter for europaforskning fra 2003-2007 og instituttleder ved Institutt for statsvitenskap, UiO, fra 1990-92.

Egeberg har vært professor i statsvitenskap siden 1993, og er også tilknyttet ARENA - Senter for europaforskning. Han var leder av forskergruppe 1 i det europeiske forskningsprosjektet CONNEX Network of Excellence "Efficient and Democratic Multilevel Governance in Europe" fra 2004-2008.

Medlem av Det Norske Videnskaps-Akademi fra 2004. Medlem av forskningsrådet ved European University Institute (EUI), Firenze, 2010-2014.
