Academic Interests

My main areas of academic interest include the EU's external trade policy, the Common Foreign and Security Policy, and the European Parliament. I head a project funded by the Research Council of Norway, "Darkness on the Horizon: Exploring the response to contestation of trade policy in Europe". I am also part of the project, "Beauty Contests: The changing politics of foreign investment in Europe". In addition, I am affiliated with ARENA's EU3D project. 

Background

I am Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science. I am a former postdoc and PhD student at ARENA and defended my dissertation in January 2015. I hold a master in political science from the University of Oslo and an MSc in sociology from the University of Oxford.
