Academic interests

I'm an historical geographer with a broad interest in how capitalism develops in time and space, especially how it combines territories in relations of interdependence. Currently, my work focuses on renewable energy and state/market relations, specifically the role of the capitalist state in transforming energy systems. In my phd project I approach these questions through a study of the expansion of the state-owned Norwegian power utility, Statkraft, in Chile's privatized energy transition.
