Screening "El Panópitco Ciego" (The Blind Panopticon) with Jorge Núñez
The Blind Panopticon is the second film collaboration about the main men’s prison in Quito, Ecuador by anthropologist Jorge Núñez and filmmaker Mateo Herrera, which follows a deep dive into the prison's century-old bureaucratic archive of documents and everyday items left behind by prisoners transferred without notice.

Film screening of "Emails to My Little Sister" with Solomon Mekonen
“Emails to My Little Sister” is a film created as part of an MA thesis project concerning the phenomenology of Blackness in Berlin. The film, however, takes place in Ethiopia where becoming Black is reflected back on in siblings' email conversations.
