Module 4: AI and research

In this module on AI and research, three excellent seminar leaders will guide you through topics such as responsible AI, embedding models, and an exploration of what language models can do for research.

During our half-day seminar on AI and research, invited speakers Andrea Gasparini (UB), Ane Kristine Espeseth, Amanda Jean Bowerman (Department of Physics), and Nikolai Czajkowski (PSI) will take us through some thought-provoking aspects of AI in research.

Andrea Gasparini: The role of AI in ethical research
Ane Kristine Espeseth and Amanda Jean Bowerman: Embedding models for text analysis
Nikolai Olavi Czajkowski: New possibilities for the use of language models in research, especially in terms of speech, inference, agent-based systems, and tools for literature search.
