This project aims to investigate possible changes in cognitive and emotional processes associated with acculturation in adult Brazilians who live in Norway and Norwegian immigrants who live in Brazil. The investigation of acculturation processes is relevant for better understanding the influences of culture on social cognition processes in general, and on emotions in particular. The results can strengthen the knowledge in Cultural Psychology, Cognitive Psychology and Psychobiology. In addition, it can have social implications related to how immigration might impact the way one processes social and emotional information. In total, 48 Brazilians living in Norway and Brazil, and Norwegians living in Norway and in Brazil will be invited to participate in the project.
Acculturation and Social Cognition Behavioral and autonomic responses among Brazilians and Norwegians

In this project, we investigate the influence of acculturation on empathy and emotional processing in Brazilians and Norwegians living in Norway, and Brazilians and Norwegian living in Brazil.
