Who can be nominated?

Nominations are open to researchers and staff at every level, including students, PhD candidates, early career and senior researchers, and administrative staff. Research projects, teams, and individuals who enable others' engagement with open science practices (team players) can also be nominated.

The department encourages engagement with a wide range of open science practices and recognizes that relevant practices may vary between the different subdisciplines of psychology. Therefore, a broad range of open science practices will be considered in the selection of award winner.

How to nominate?

You can nominate through the link below. Nominations should include a brief justification (max 250 words) and a link to the relevant publication or material submitted for assessment. Self-nominations are also welcome.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of relevant activities which can form the basis for nominations:
· Practices to increase openness in qualitative research (e.g., researcher reflexivity, transparency)
· Practices designed to improve reproducibility in basic, applied, and clinical quantitative research (e.g., preregistration, registered reports, replication studies, well-justified power analyses, research protocols, and systematic reviews)
· Practices designed to increase openness and transparency in teaching or administration (e.g., sharing of material, teaching open science practices)

Who will evaluate the nominations?

The Open Science Committee will evaluate the nominations, and the winner will be announced at this year’s Christmas party.

Nomination Deadline:

Sunday, November 8th, 2026
