This 3-hour online webinar provides an opportunity for mutual learning and exchange regarding psychosocial needs of veterans, their families and communities. The meeting is a starting point to set priorities for building capacity, for funding, and for networking to arrive at effective and encompassing solutions that serve Ukrainian veterans, their families and communities wherever they are.

The main questions are: What are good examples of methods or measures that work in your country? What are the challenges?

We bring together veterans services, NGOs, practitioners, researchers and funders to help build capacity and bring resources to where they are most needed.

The event will be simultaneously translated between English and Ukrainian.

As part of this initiative, we also run a Delphi expert panel to help set psychosocial support priorities for work with families of Ukrainian military personnel, veterans and their communities. Are you working in this area? Then we would appreciate it if you could participate in the 3-round panel consultation, which you can access here:
Ukrainian version;     English version

Topics that will be covered in the webinar are:

  • Status and situation today
  • Needs and challenges
  • Good examples of veteran work
  • Next steps: Follow-up webinars, networks, and projects
