Background
Ari Mamshae comes from a mixed academic and professional work background in politics and public administration. Prior to his current enlistment, he worked as a senior special assistant in the Kurdistan Regional Government's Council of Ministers where he served on several cabinet-level committees, including the Taxes and Revenues Review Committee and the Negotiation Team with the Federal Government in Baghdad. Formerly an executive staff of Kurdish President Masoud Barzani. He has also taught at the University of Soran and the University of Kurdistan Hewler.
He is currently working on the research project PART, studying (politically) appointed public managers, their impact on the performance of public organizations and people's trust in government.
His PhD is focused on the politicization of bureaucracy and the relationship between public managers, executive politicians and political parties.
