Even Hellan Larsen defends PhD dissertation

On 14 January, ONP fellow Even Larsen defends his doctoral thesis "The Determinants of Nuclear Use, Coercion, and Strategy" at Gamle Festsal, University of Oslo. Larsen is the first doctoral candidate from the Oslo Nuclear Project to defend his thesis, which is based on a series of articles in leading scholarly journals in the field of international security. His advisory committee consisted of Professor Målfrid Braut-Hegghammer, Professor Scott Gates, and Associate Professor James Cameron. The evaluation committee consists of Associate Professor William Spaniel, University of Pittsburgh; Assistant Professor Lauren Sukin, London School of Economics and Political Science; and Professor Janne Haaland Matlary, University of Oslo.
