Even Hellan Larsen

On 14 January, ONP fellow Even Larsen defended his doctoral thesis "The Determinants of Nuclear Use, Coercion, and Strategy" at Gamle Festsal, University of Oslo. Larsen was the first doctoral candidate from the Oslo Nuclear Project to submit and defend his thesis, which is based on a series of articles in leading scholarly journals in the field of international security. His articles explore the microfoundations of pathways to nuclear use in a changed and increasingly complex strategic environment. His advisory committee consisted of current and former ONP participants Professor Målfrid Braut-Hegghammer, Professor Scott Gates, and Associate Professor James Cameron.
