Former Adjunct professor at the Department of Economics and ESOP appointed new Chief Economist at EBRD

Professor Beata Javorcik, Oxford University, and until recently Adjunct professor at the Department of Economics and ESOP at the University of Oslo, was on February 25 appointed Chief economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Javorcik currenty holds a Statutory Professorship in Economics at the University of Oxford. She has been a Professor II at ESOP for several years and also a participant to the Euproean Strains project.

She will be succeeding Sergei Guriev in September this year.

The department og Economics and ESOP congratulate with the appointment.
