We are pleased to invite you to a two day seminar with Professor Heidi Levitt from the University of Massachusetts Boston here at the Department of Psychology.

Professor Heidi Levitt is a prominent qualitative researcher, and is currently leading the APA’s work on developing standards for designing and reporting qualitative research within psychology. 

Monday

  • Part 1: 09.15-12.00 in Forsamlingssalen:

Advanced workshop on standards for designing and reporting on qualitative research. (This workshop draws on HL work with the task force for the Society for Qualitative Inquiry in Psychology and the Task Force for reporting standards in the APA Publication Manual.).

12:00-14:00 Lunch

  • Part 2: 14:00-16:00 in Forsamlingssalen:

Q&A seminar on responding to common criticisms by reviewers of qualitative approaches and tips for publishing qualitative research.

Tuesday

  • Part 1: 09:15-12:00 in Forsamlingssalen

Workshop: Qualitative methods consultation by both PhD-students and others presenting specific methods-related questions for us to consider together.

12:00-13:00 Lunch

  • Part 2: 13:15-15:00 in Seminarrom 1

Qualitative Meta-analyses. Presenting/ discussing findings from the meta-analysis of clients' experiences in psychotherapy and/ or the process of conducting qualitative meta-analyses.

  • 15:15-16:00 in Seminarrom 1

Discussion hour on teaching qualitative methods. Attendees can share strategies and exercises.

Registration

The seminar is open to all staff and PhD-students at the Department, and is approved as an elective course within the PhD-program.
