The application must include
- project description including description of field work
- budget
- a statement/confirmation from the supervisor(s) that field work is a necessary part of the project
- State in which country and area you wish to carry out fieldwork. We do not provide support for fieldwork if you are going to a country or area covered by the Foreign Ministry's travel advice.

- Applicants who have already received considerable financial support from Fritt Ord, might be refused if the total amount applied for from Department funds exceeds the limit of 50.000 NOK.
