Assigning your supervisor

Your supervisor will guide you through the thesis work and provide valuable and informed feedback about your progress

As a master’s student in Human Geography you will be assigned a supervisor during the second semester of your studies. Your supervisor can suggest the need for a co-supervisor, either among human geography staff or external institutions. External supervisors must be approved by the Department.

All students are expected to have established contact with the supervisor within the second semester of study. You both must sign an Agreement of Supervision and deliver it within a set deadline in the second semester. This is to ensure that you get an early start on your thesis and that you have a supervisor to guide you through the whole process.
