Dr Magdalena Stawkowski visits the TIK centre and the Toxicity Reading Group to give a talk on the recent repurposing of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site in Kazakhstan.

This PhD project presents three studies on the factors behind participation in the European framework programme, Horizon 2020. It does so by addressing different and so-far uncharted aspects of participation, focusing on the research organization and the project level.

Gulbrandsen jobber blant annet med offentlige forskningsorganisasjoner rolle i innovasjon, prosessen omkring “impact”, kommersialisering av forskning og forholdet mellom universitet og industri.

Interdisciplinary research within the life sciences is in demand, and more and more funding bodies requires collaboration among researchers from different disciplines. However, many reserachers find it hard to create truly interdisciplinary project which can create new areas of knowledge and new opportunities. In this panel conversation, the Sciences Studies Colloquium aims to promote a practical discussion on how to proceed if one wants to create good and truly interdisciplinary projects. We have invited four of the interdisciplinary projects that were selected to be Convergence Environments in the last call to tell about their process.

For nøyaktig 20 år siden kom boka «Betatt av viten – bruksanvisninger til Donna Haraway» ut på Spartacus Forlag. I de tjue årene som har gått siden da har Haraway fortsatt å irritere, utfordrer og inspirere. Vi som en gang laget boka sammen, ønsker å invitere til seminar om Haraway som en feministisk teknovitenskapelig stemme, som talsperson for ontologisk undring, som samtalepartner med ulike former for levd liv så vel som en skarp røst innen teknologi og vitenskapsstudier (STS). Vi spør fortsatt– hvordan kan Haraway brukes?
