Silje Maria Tellmann
Silje is interested in the interplay between academia and society, how science is used in different spheres of society, and how trust in science and expertise is generated. She has studied this through various processes, actors and organizations, such as in Norwegian climate policy, researchers’ participation in governmental advisory commissions, the organization of knowledge use in the public administration and researchers' own practices for communicating research to various actors. Silje has also studied trade unions, organization in higher education, and evaluations of the societal impact of research.
Silje has been a post-doctoral fellow at Oslo Institute for Research on the Impact of Science (OSIRIS). She currently works as an associate professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway and is now affiliated to OSIRIS as a guest researcher.
