Julia Szulecka

Academic interests

Julia is an environmental social scientist, whose research interests focus on the sustainability issues in the food and forestry sectors, as well as governance and policy pathways towards a functioning bioeconomy. She has recently worked on organic waste policy and is conducting new research on food waste reduction governance. She is also interested in forest policy both at the global level in forestry regime negotiations and in and local forestry activities with their social, economic, and environmental implications.

Projects

Julia is currently leading the BREAD (Building REsponsibility And Developing Innovative Strategies for Tackling Food Waste) project financed by the Research Council of Norway, and had previously worked for SusValueWaste and BioWiseTrans.
