Bakgrunn:

Simone Abram er ansatt på UiO i forbindelse med MATKIN prosjektet. Hun er også professor i Anthropology på Durham University i Storbritannia og Co-Director of the Durham Energy Institute.

Abram har gjort feltarbeid i Storbritannia, Frankrike og Skandinavia, særlig i Norge. Hun er co-convenor ved EASA Energy Anthropology Network og medlem av EASA Futures Network. Hun har vært Secretary of the ASA (Storbritannia) og medlem av the Council of the RAI. Hun er Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
