NOT ABOUT THE ANTHROPOCENE: THE POLITICAL ONTOLOGY OF LIFE PROJECTS

Welcome to an extraordinary seminar with our special guest Associate professor Mario Blaser.

In this presentation Blaser offers an overview of his forthcoming book, which has two aims. On the one hand, it seeks to connect two areas of debate that are differentially important in Latin America and the North Atlantic; namely the debates on ‘the commons’ and on ‘the Anthropocene’. On the other hand, through the analysis of these topics and on the basis of case studies, it seeks to present ongoing developments in ‘political ontology’. In this presentation, the general contours of the argument that structures the book will be traced with the aim of igniting lively discussions.
