My PhD project is part of the interdisciplinary project UIO:Norden - Ambivalence of Nordic nature - Gift, Guilt, Grace - where I will look at what opportunities and limitations lie in the use of emotionally charged words (such as climate anxiety, flight shame and ecological care) in climate communication. I am interested in how people seem alienated from nature and the possible role of psychology in facilitating environmental engagement among young people. Previously, I have researched the discomfort of recognizing the link between meat and animals, and the feeling of community as a catalyst for the #FridaysForFuture movement in Norway.
