The 11th Meeting of NNPL on Iceland, October 30-31, 2015.

The 11th meeting of the Nordic Network for Research on Psychology and Law (NNPL) will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland. This Nordic conference provides a unique forum for PhD students and researchers to meet and to present ongoing projects and research findings on all aspects of psychology and law. The meeting committee welcomes papers on all topics within this field.

We are very pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for 2015 will be Professor
Stephen D. Hart, Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Hart obtained his PhD in clinical psychology at the University of British Columbia in 1993. He currently holds positions as Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University and Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bergen. His expertise is in the field of clinical-forensic psychology, with a special focus on the assessment of violence risk and psychopathic personality disorder. He has co-authored more than 200 books, chapters, and articles; and co- authored more than 450 conference presentations.

Abstract Submission

We welcome abstracts (200 words) and each paper should be prepared for a 20-minutes presentation at the meeting, including time for questions.

The deadline for submission has been extended to 7th of September  and abstracts should be submitted via e-mail to olafur.bragason@logreglan.is. Applicants can expect to receive a decision about the acceptance of their abstract approximately 2 weeks after the submission deadline has passed.

Registration

The meeting will take place from 9:00 on October 30th to 13:00 on October 31st. The venue is University of Reykjavik, Menntavegi 1, 101 Reykjavik. Participation is free, but all participants are required to register via e-mail to olafur.bragason@logreglan.is

Lunch and refreshments on both days will be provided. The social programme will be sent to participants at a later stage.

Accommodation

Rooms were reserved at Icelandair Hotel Natura, close by the venue, but the deadline has now passed and we were unable to hold the rooms for a longer period. We recommend looking for rooms online (e.g. dohop.com, booking.com, hotels.com)
