My PhD project focuses on the positive social emotion kama muta. In vernacular English this state is captured best by the terms being moved or touched. We are peculiarly interested in examining the physiological components and what kind of motivations this affective state encompasses. We expect states of kama muta to result in increased communal tendencies such as prosocial behavior.
