What is green gentrification, and how can we best understand it?
Department seminar. Gaurab Aryal is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Washington University in St. Louis. He will present the paper: "Auctioning Annuities" (written with Eduardo Fajnzylber, Maria F. Gabrielli, Manuel Willington).
Tone Druglitrø is a researcher at the TIK Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture at the University of Oslo. She has over several years been concerned with experimenting with care as an approach and tool for studying values in science and policy with a specific focus on animal research. Based upon a combination of archive studies, laboratory ethnographies, and document-oriented studies, her work has traced the historical development of “skilled care” as an expertise in science, and analyzed the convergence of biological standardization, conservation and technical care in public health. She has also published on “procedural care” in licensing systems. She is currently exploring versions of care in cod immunology together with Kristin Asdal (TIK).

Brick forsker på motivasjon og sosiale mekanismer som kan forutsi miljøvennlig atferd, inkludert handlinger som å redusere kjøttforbruk, begrense flyreiser, delta i politisk stemmegivning og engasjere seg i protester. Han vil diskutere oppfatningen av klimaendringer i samfunnet og de nyeste utviklingene innen måling og konseptualisering av miljøvennlig atferd. Tidligere forskning har tradisjonelt betraktet miljøvennlig atferd som en kontinuerlig psykologisk variabel, men nylig arbeid har vist at atferden er kompleks, mangfoldig og drives av ulike faktorer. I dette foredraget vil vi også få høre om et tilgjengelige datasett og det åpne tidsskriftet "Global Environmental Psychology".
