Academic interests

I am a cultural/political/historical geographer with research interests in the intellectual history, philosophy and practice of geography broadly conceived. My work has examined, among other topics, the figure of the excluded middle in spatial thought; the history of 19th and 20th century German and Swedish geography; and the history of colonial travel writing.
