The lecturer
Phil Cook is professor of reginal development and Directorof the Centre for Advanced Studies (CASS) in the social sciences at the University of Wales, Cardiff. His most recent project was the ESRC-funded study of Regional Innovation in Europe (with Dr. K. Morgan) which involved an in-depth comparative analysis of the innovation systems of Baden-W�rttemberg in Germany and Wales (UK).He is also editor of European Planning Studies, an interdisciplinary journal with an urban and regional policy focus.
