In the Media: Kristoffer Berg on the Norwegian Wealth Tax

In light of the debate on the wealth tax, OFS affiliate Kristoffer Berg published an article in DN highlighting findings from an IMF working paper he and Shafik Hebous published earlier this year. In the article, Berg discusses how the wealth tax improves equality of opportunity for the next generation. First, he points out that there is a correlation between parental wealth and child income, and second, that the causal effect of one extra million in net wealth for the parents is an additional 14,000 in yearly income for the child.
