On 25 October 2013, ARENA organised a seminar for teachers on the Norwegian Constitution in international perspective. Among the questions discussed were if Europe, which has been key to the development of the Norwegian Constitution and democracy, today constitutes the biggest threat against constitutional democracy in Norway.

The bicentennial celebration of the Norwegian Constitution in 2014 represents an important milestone as well as an opportunity to reflect on the role and status of the Norwegian Constitution and democracy.

ARENA and ASANOR organised a seminar for social science and history teachers, to increase their knowledge on these matters as a preparation for next year’s celebrations.
