The autonomy of universities

Tatiana Fumasoli is post-doctoral fellow at ARENA, where she participates in the FLAGSHIP project (European Flagship Universities). In the interview she reflects on the issue of autonomy and shares some findings on how Norwegian and other Western European universities use and interpret autonomy in the context of balancing excellence with socio-economic relevance.
